Seachem PhosGuard is a premium-grade filtration media designed to eliminate phosphate and silicate from aquarium water. It is made from aluminum oxide and shaped into smooth, spherical beads to maximize hydrodynamics and prevent compaction, ensuring superior flow-through and contact efficiency.
PhosGuard is ideal for controlling nuisance algae caused by excess phosphate and silicate. It is safe for both marine and freshwater aquariums but should not be used in phosphate-buffered freshwater systems.

Directions for Use:
Use 85 mL (1/3 cup) for every 200 L (50 US gallons) of saltwater or 400 L (100 US gallons) of freshwater. Rinse before use. Place in a filter bag in a high-flow area. Replace after 4 days if phosphate levels remain high or leave in place until levels begin to rise again. Do not overdose or tumble in reactors.
