Seachem Reef Carbonate – Alkalinity & pH Stabilizer for Saltwater Aquariums (500ml)
Seachem Reef Carbonate is a premium-grade alkalinity supplement formulated to raise and maintain carbonate alkalinity (KH) in reef aquariums. It contains a balanced blend of carbonate and bicarbonate salts, delivering a pK of ~9.0 in saltwater—higher than competing products—ensuring stable pH around 8.3–8.4.
Carbonates are essential for coral calcification and skeletal growth. A deficiency in carbonate alkalinity can halt coral growth and lead to rapid health decline. Reef Carbonate is phosphate-free and will not promote algae growth or cloud the water. It is safe for all marine organisms and will not deplete calcium, magnesium, or strontium when used as directed.

Directions for Use:
- Use 1 capful (5 mL) per 80 L (20 US gallons) twice a week
- Each 5 mL per 80 L raises alkalinity by ~0.25 meq/L
- Do not exceed 20 mL per 80 L per day
- Best if diluted in freshwater before adding to tank
- Use Seachem MultiTest™ or Reef Status™ to monitor alkalinity

- Do not mix directly with calcium, magnesium, or strontium supplements
- Ideal alkalinity range: 3–6 meq/L (8–17 dKH)
