Seachem Reef Iodide is a highly concentrated (8,000 mg/L) potassium iodide solution formulated to safely restore iodide levels in reef aquariums. Unlike iodine-based products, Reef Iodide is stabilized to prevent conversion into toxic free iodine or ineffective iodate, ensuring full bioavailability for corals and invertebrates.
Iodide is essential for the health and coloration of soft corals, gorgonians, and other invertebrates. Reef Iodide supports soft tissue growth and enhances coral vitality without the risks associated with Lugol’s solution or unstable iodine additives.

Directions for Use:
- Beginner: Add 5 mL (1 capful) per 200 L (50 US gallons) every other day
- Advanced: Add 1 mL per 80 L (20 US gallons) daily to raise iodide by 0.10 mg/L
- Target iodide level: 0.06–0.08 mg/L (natural seawater = 0.06 mg/L)
- Test iodide levels regularly using Seachem MultiTest™ Iodine & Iodide
- Adjust dosage based on coral response and test results

- Use in conjunction with Seachem Reef Trace™ for complete trace element support
- Do not use with iodine-based products or Lugol’s solution
