Vetsfarma Metaprim is a bactericidal for poultry and livestock, combining Sulphamethoxazole and Trimethoprim for broad-spectrum antibacterial activity.
Key Features:
Active Ingredients:
Sulphamethoxazole I.P. – 400 mg per 5 g.
Trimethoprim I.P. – 80 mg per 5 g.
Mechanism:
Sequential double blockade of bacterial metabolism, enhancing effectiveness.
Effective against multi-resistant infections.
Indications:
E. coli infections, chronic respiratory disease (CRD), fowl coryza, coccidiosis, fowl cholera, typhoid, and secondary bacterial infections.
Dosage:
Poultry: 10 g per 8 liters of drinking water for 5-7 days.
Livestock: 12.5 g per 80 kg body weight, administered twice daily in drinking water or feed.
Withdrawal Period:
Milk/Eggs: 7 days.
Meat: 28 days.
Packaging: Available in 500 gm.
