Seachem Purigen – Premium Organic Filtration Resin (250ml)
Seachem Purigen is a unique, macro-porous synthetic polymer designed to remove organic waste from aquarium water more efficiently than any other filtration media. Unlike ion-exchange resins, Purigen selectively targets nitrogenous organics—such as fish waste, uneaten food, and decaying matter—before they break down into harmful ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate.
Purigen’s spherical and macroreticular structure provides an enormous surface area, allowing it to outperform traditional resins by over 500%. It visibly darkens as it becomes exhausted and can be regenerated multiple times using a bleach solution, making it both effective and economical.
