Seachem Marine Buffer is a scientifically blended buffer that safely raises and maintains marine pH at 8.3. Unlike simple sodium bicarbonate or carbonate products, Marine Buffer contains a precise mix of sodium, magnesium, calcium, strontium, and potassium salts of carbonate, bicarbonate, chloride, sulfate, and borate.
This advanced formulation ensures that pH will not exceed 8.3 even if overdosed, making it one of the safest and most effective buffers available for marine aquariums. It also raises alkalinity by approximately 1 meq/L per dose, helping to stabilize water chemistry and prevent dangerous pH swings.

Directions for Use:
- Add 5g (1 level teaspoon) per 80 L (20 US gallons) of aquarium water
- Dissolve in at least one cup of freshwater before adding
- Repeat daily until pH stabilizes at 8.3 (typically within 1–7 days)
- Thereafter, use biweekly or monthly to maintain pH
