Seachem Cupramine is a highly effective copper treatment for external parasites in aquarium fish. It eradicates Ich (Ichthyophthirius), Velvet (Amyloodinium), Cryptocaryon, and other protozoan infections. Unlike copper sulfate or chloride, Cupramine is non-acidic, fully ionic, and remains in solution without contaminating the filter bed.

Cupramine is safe for use in both freshwater and marine systems, but it is toxic to invertebrates and should not be used in tanks containing shrimp, snails, or corals. It is easily removed with activated carbon or Seachem CupriSorb™ after treatment.

Directions for Use:

• Remove all invertebrates before treatment
• Turn off UV, ozone, and chemical filtration (e.g., carbon, Purigen)
• Day 1: Add 1 mL (20 drops) per 40 L (10.5 US gallons)
• Day 3: Repeat the same dose
• Maintain copper concentration at 0.5 mg/L (0.25 mg/L for freshwater)
• Use Seachem MultiTest™ Copper to monitor levels
• Do not exceed 0.6 mg/L copper
• Treat for 14 days at full concentration
• After treatment, remove with carbon or CupriSorb™

Pro Tips:

• Visible symptoms may worsen before improving – continue full course
• Do not use with ammonia binders or conditioners during treatment
• Test copper levels daily to ensure therapeutic range is maintained
