This porous structure encourages colonization by anaerobic bacteria, enabling powerful nitrate reduction and waste breakdown in both freshwater and saltwater environments. Lab-tested for biological efficacy, the tabs are long-lasting and do not require frequent replacement. They fit seamlessly into internal filters, canister filters, and trickle systems.
