ISTA FIR Biological Filter Media – Advanced Porous Ceramic for Probiotic Growth
A special nested porous structure enhances the proliferation rate of aerobic probiotics, which swiftly establishes a nitrification system. This maintains water quality in a crystal-clear condition.
The water content and absorption capacity significantly exceed that of other porous bio balls. Pores are distributed evenly throughout the entire unit, with the number of pores per surface area being ten times more than typical market products. Unlike general products, where pores are only present on the surface, this structure ensures pores exist internally as well.
Usage Instructions:
- Rinse media before use to remove dust
- Place inside filter chamber or sump
- Replace every 6–12 months depending on tank load
