Semi-dome creamy white curds with better field adaptability
This Monsoon Queen hybrid from Syngenta India features semi-erect plants and blue-green foliage supporting well-formed creamy white curds. With uniform maturity and strong curd protection, the crop delivers quality heads suitable for fresh market and transport. Recommended for Summer (Mar–May), Kharif (Mar–Aug), and Rabi (Sept–Dec).
Sowing & Fertilization:
- Seed treatment: Carbendazim 2g + Thiram 2g/kg
- Spacing: Tropical – 60×30 cm; Sub-tropical/Temperate – 60×45 cm
- Basal: 5 MT FYM + 50 kg SSP + 50 kg MOP
- Pre-ridge: 50 kg urea | Post-transplant: Urea, DAP & Boron schedule
Pest & Disease Management:
- Powdery Mildew, Anthracnose: Amistar @ 200 ml/acre
- Fruit rot: Kavach @ 400 gm/acre
- Insects (Whitefly, Mites, Borer): Pegasus, Cigna, Proclaim (as recommended)
Irrigation & Harvesting:
- Light and frequent irrigation recommended during summer
- Maturity based on climate: Tropical – 55–65 days; Sub-Tropical – 60–75 days; Temperate – 75–85 days
