Cholla Wood Organic Natural Shrimp Shelter is crafted from the dried husk of the Cholla cactus, naturally hollowed and rich in texture. This thorn-free, organic wood creates safe zones for baby shrimp, fry, and microfauna while helping maintain a biologically rich environment through biofilm generation.
The porous surface encourages beneficial bacteria and algae growth—essential for feeding and digestion in young shrimp. Its lattice-like structure makes it easy to anchor mosses or aquatic plants to create a stunning natural aquascape element.
Each piece measures approx. 12–13cm long and 2–3cm in diameter, making it suitable for nano tanks, breeding setups, and shrimp-friendly displays. Just rinse before placing in your tank—no boiling required for fully dried pieces.
