Ocean Free Anti-Columnaris is a specially formulated to treat Columnaris (commonly known as fin rot and often mistaken for a fungus being characteristically white and patchy or fish fights) that usually presents near the head and fins of the body.
It is mainly caused by highly virulent Gram-negative bacteria know as Flavobacterium columnare.
Bacteria enters fish usually through the gills, buccal cavity or small wounds.
This bacteria is ubiquitous in water and outbreak is often caused by high bioload or stress conditions (for example; overcrowding, low dissolved oxygen or bad water quality).
