The absorption of calcium from the feed can be negatively influenced by a phosphor content being too high. The balance between calcium and phosphorus in feed should be between 1:1 and 2:1. Bird grit supports the digestion of the food. It will contribute to the grinding of the seeds in the muscular stomach, so that the necessary nutrients are absorbed into the body. Bird grit must be available to our birds at all times.
